Hydrosalpinx is defined as a mechanical condition that occurs when adhesions (internal scars) form to narrow or close the far end of the fallopian tube. Hydrosalpinx is a collection of fluid within the fallopian tube, often accompanied by closure of the distal (far) end of the tube, near the ovary. Tubal fluid that normally flows through the tube becomes trapped by the blockage and the tube may swell, causing a hydrosalpinx. Some physicians feel that the tube must be surgically removed and the woman undergo IVF in order to conceive. Thus, many women with hydrosalpinx often choose surgery to treat hydrosalpinx.
How to cure hydrosalpinx without surgery?
Neosalpingostomy is a surgery that is sometimes used to open the tube. In the case of hydrosalpinx, the surgeon may cut longitudinally along the end of the tube in an attempt to re-create the delicate flower-like petals (fimbriae) that are designed to grasp the egg when it leaves the ovary. This is a very delicate surgery, often confounded by the formation of post-surgical adhesions on these fragile structures. These adhesions can block the tube again, with a subsequent return of the hydrosalpinx. Successful results are typically obtained with younger women and those with relatively small hydrosalpinges. Most of the physicians we have consulted feel that the surgery allows a window of three to six months before the tube blocks again due to post-surgical adhesions. Thus, surgery has its own risks to treat hydrosalpinx.
In addition to surgery, herbal medicine named Fuyan Pill can be a better choice. Fuyan Pill is herbal medicine, which contains herbs to promote blood and Qi circulation, dissolve stasis and dissipate hard lumps. With the "guiding herbs" which can "guide" other herbs to work directly in the reproductive system, the hydrosalpinx can be reversed by the herbal medicine Fuyan Pill.

Doctors consider normal menstrual bleeding a period that lasts from three to seven days; prolonged menstrual bleeding, or menorrhagia, is defined as bleeding that goes beyond a week.
The length of an average menstrual cycle for an adult woman lasts anywhere between 21 and 35 days. Younger girls just entering puberty and older women approaching menopause might notice that their periods follow irregular patterns, either lasting shorter or longer than normal or perhaps with a flow that becomes heavier or lighter.
Medical conditions that could be the cause of abnormal menstrual bleeding include:
- Dysfunctional uterune bleeding
- Uterine fibroids, non-cancerous growths of the uterus wall
- Endometrial hyperplasia, a thickened endometrium
- A bleeding disorder, like von Willebrand disease
- Problems with clotting
- Thyroid functioning
- Glandular issues
- Infection
- Ovarian cysts
- Uterine polyps
- Cancer
- Interuterine device
- Hormonal imbalance
Prolonged menstrual bleeding may just be part of a bothersome pattern for some women or a sign of a medical condition that should be addressed. If something doesn't feel right to you, always ask your doctor, and keep a detailed account of your menstrual bleeding in order to provide your doctor with another piece of the diagnostic puzzle.
